Great places to eat in the Big Horn Basin, Wyoming
Written By: Sarah Reish
The Big Horn Basin is a large region in northern Wyoming. While out adventuring and exploring different areas we have had the opportunity to eat at different restaurants. These are a few of the places we have enjoyed. Let us know if you have been to one listed and what you enjoyed while there.
Wyoming 310 - Deaver, Wyoming
We could not leave out one of our favorites. The Wyoming 310 steaks and burgers are amazing, and come from a local beef farmer, Evens Farm and Ranch. The craft cocktails are delicious and while there you must try the Wyo Fries! These loaded fries are some of the best we’ve had. Morgan and Melanie are sisters and run the restaurant together. While there be sure to explore their menu, everything is amazing and get extra 310 sauce!
WYOld West Brewing Company & Tap Room - Powell, Wyoming
WYOld West Brewing has some fantastic beer and great food. We have enjoyed their food many times. One of my favorites is the cob salad and for appetizers my friends and I order their pretzels with beer cheese sauce the menu is fantastic. This is a favorite eatery of ours and a go-to place when going out with friends. So, if you are looking for a cold pint and good food in Powell be sure to stop by the brewery - or - if you are in Cody visit their tap room.
One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company - Thermopolis, Wyoming
We could not leave out the One Eyed Buffalo! Whenever we travel through Thermopolis we try and stop in for a quick bite and a cold beer. They have a Mac ’n Cheese menu, the wings are amazing, and we have enjoyed every bite we have had there. If you are visiting the Hot springs, camping, or just passing through - take the time to stop and enjoy a beer or a bite to eat!
Michaels Taco’s - Cody, Wyoming
This unassuming eatery is located in Cody and has fantastic tacos and chili rellenos. Michael’s Tacos is where we took a lunch break while visiting the Center of the West. While we usually order tacos and the rellenos, our friends have told us they have the best nachos ever and their margaritas are delicious. Be sure to stop in for bite during your stay in Cody.
CC’s Pizza -Greybull, Wyoming
Don’t miss this pizzeria next time your are visiting or traveling through Greybull. While best known for their handcrafted, baked pizzas – my personal favorite - CC’s Pizza also serves up additional menu items to include hot oven baked sandwiches, calzones, wings, salads, coffee, baked goods, and Wilcoxson’s ice cream! CC’s Pizza also offers up some great local craft beer, including Ten Sleep Brewing Company.
Trailhead Bar - Grill - Wood Fired Pizza - Cody, Wyoming
We enjoy Trailhead whenever we dine or stop in for happy hour. Their seasonal menu features fine dining and more casual fare so guests can enjoy a range of food options. They work with local farms and ranchers for fresh local ingredients and make their own house made pasta, dressings, and are one of the few scratch kitchens in Wyoming. From elk and bison to beef and seafood flown in from Seattle Fish Company. You are sure to enjoy every bite.
Uncommon Grounds - Powell, Wyoming
Nothing beats a great cup of coffee and we know coffee. Uncommon Grounds offers up delicious coffee in a great environment. Their breakfast sandwiches are unreal and if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy a morning cup of Joe - head on over to Uncommon Grounds.
The Station - Cody, Wyoming
The Station is a great stop perfect for morning or mid-day. Enjoy some great coffee and for breakfast order yourself either a sweet or savory crepe, both are delicious! For a mid day pick-me-up grab and iced coffee or tea and a sandwich or salad. The patio is a great spot to relax and enjoy the fare. Hit up the drive thru for your coffee fix before you head out on your next adventure!
