4 Wyoming Gifts For Mom This Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is around the corner, and we decided we needed to put together a list of items that make the perfect gift for mom. History and Fun Facts About Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day was originally created to protest the war. Anna Jarvis is the founder of this holiday celebrating mom. Almost 30 years prior, author of “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, Julia Ward Howe created “A Mothers’ Peace Day”. She was an antiwar activist with Jarvis' own mother. Jarvis fought her entire life against Mother’s Day being used to fundraise or provide financial gain to businesses.
Fun Fact: The white carnation was the traditional flower used for Mother’s Day as it was Jarvis’ mother’s favorite flower. In a 1927 interview, Jarvis shared, “The carnation does not drop its petals, but hugs them to its heart as it dies, and so, too, mothers hug their children to their hearts, their mother love never dying,"
