National Sticker Day - And celebrating our very first sticker of the month!
By: Sarah Reish | Photography: Sarah Reish
National Sticker Day is January 13th and who doesn’t like a good sticker? Water bottles, tumblers, and computers have all been decorated with our favorite stickers. We collect them and celebrate the memories or meanings they hold.
History of Stickers
The sticker is only 86 years old. In 1935 R. Stanton Avery invented the very first self adhesive label that later became known as the sticker. Way to go Mr. Avery!
With the history taken care of, let’s jump into what’s new and exciting with stickers. We are going to launch a sticker of the month. We will have ways for you to win, find, or purchase your very own.
Sticker of the Month
We are partnering with Bighorn Design Studios, the creative minds behind Surf Wyoming, Timber Jack Joe Coffee, and more. Together we are creating a new sticker each month inspired by the topics you choose! So engage with us! Post pictures of where you put your stickers and tag us @livewyldmag on Facebook, twitter, or instagram.
Be sure to follow us on social media, we will be offering give-a-ways on Find Us Friday and scavenger sticker hunts at various times throughout the week.
