Wyoming 310 Celebrates 5 Years
Written and photography by Sarah Reish
We are so excited to be a part of the 5 year celebration of Wyoming 310, Morgan and Melanie. From the early start of Live WYld, we have had the pleasure of highlighting the amazing relationships the M sisters have with their staff, community and local farms and ranches. When they asked to do this article they really wanted to share their thanks to everyone who has impacted their lives throughout these years. What stands out to me is that they really love their community. How can I effectively put into words what they are trying to communicate? Well, I am going to do my best, but be sure to head over to WYO 310 and congratulate these ladies on their 5 year anniversary!
April 20, 2022 Celebrating 5 Years!
Family
First and foremost Morgan and Melanie wanted to share their thanks with their family because any business is really a family business when you have the support system these two have. Their spouses have stepped in and gotten their hands dirty, they shared with me, “Our husbands have to pitch in regularly to help us with busy weekends, babysitting and staffing emergencies. We are lucky to have them to help us out!”. Having grown up in their parents restaurant, their parents are an immense support, “Our parents have had to bail us out on scheduling, babysitting and dishwashing or cooking multiple times, they have immense knowledge of the business” . They also shared their parents were their best bosses. Their children are not to be forgotten in this special Thank you, the older kids help in the restaurant during the summer and the younger kids grew up in the restaurant making it special for these restaurateurs and moms.
Community
I don’t think there is a way to measure the impact of a strong community. Melanie and Morgan want to thank their community. Many of you have supported Wyoming 310 throughout these years and numerous families have become friends. The sisters share, “this means the world to us”. Community is everything and the community surrounding Wyoming 310 is definitely a special one.
Staff
With some of the original staff still onboard, one staff member’s three kids work in various positions at Wyoming 310. I can say with confidence that Melanie and Morgan have created a great work environment. Morgan and Melanie have shared so many amazing things about the staff that it is hard to iterate exactly what they wish to share. From staying with them for 5 years to hanging in there through COVID, the original staff and those who have come on board are invaluable. The sisters share, “They work hard for us and we want them to know how much we value everything they offer at their job and as a person,”.
Distributors
A lot of people come together to make a business run and a restaurant is no different. Morgan and Melanie are immensely thankful for the food and beverage distributors that helped them prepare for opening. They shared with me that each of these people were instrumental in their success and they have built lasting friendships with many of them. From preparing the kitchen to the dining room, each played a role in setting them up for success. Today they are integral in the food and spirit tasting events. They make these events possible to offer to the community.
Looking to the future
As the focus turns toward the future, Morgan and Melanie shared that they were able to provide a sponsorship towards a graduating students scholarship. They are hoping to make this an annual sponsor scholarship on behalf of Wyoming 310.
